Rawalpindi Ring Road is the most important infrastructural project in Rawalpindi City in 2023-2024. Aside from improving the accessibility and connectivity of the city, it was also benefitting different housing projects coming in the route.  However, there will be no direct access, given to any housing scheme via Rawalpindi Ring Road; Commissioner Rawalpindi informed the press and public. RRR will be restricted to 5 interchanges and no special interchanges or entrances will be developed for housing projects.

During the visit, Commissioner Rawalpindi stated that no direct access would be given to any housing society. This means that no direct entrances will be given to projects. However, there are some projects, through which Rawalpindi Ring Road is crossing like Rudn Enclave Rawalpindi and Faisal Town Phase 2. Most probably, Rawalpindi Ring Road will be fenced from both sides, similar to Motorways. Therefore, inter-society access will be restricted and residents will have to access RRR via the planned interchanges.

On this occasion, the commissioner also said that all the interchanges will be named after the villages, and a dedicated rest area will be constructed alongside the Rawalpindi Ring Road Route.
