CDA Directs FWO to submit PP-1 for Bhara Kahu Bypass Project

CDA had awarded the Bhara Kahu Bypass project to Frontier Works Organization in the past. Capital Development Authority (CDA) requested FWO to submit the PC-1 draft for the project has already faced delays. The total of Bhara Kahu Bypass is around 7.8 km and it is a sub-project of Margalla Road.

The main aim of this project is to provide an alternate route to traffic for Murree, Kashmir, and Galyat. The foundation of the Bhara Kahu Bypass and Margallla Road project was laid during the tenure of the past government but the work is yet to start.

The first phase of this project is almost completed by the combined efforts of CDA and FWO. However, 30% of work is remaining in this phase, the first phase includes the development of Margalla Road between Islamabad Sector D-12 and Sangjani. Now, FWO needs to submit the draft PC-1 for the second phase of Margalla road, which includes the Bhara Kahu Bypass development.

As of now, the news suggests that the phase 2 PC-1 draft is under process by FWO and it will be submitted to CDA for review. Once approved, work on Phase 2 will start officially and Phase 1 will be fully completed. However, the final document is yet to be submitted to CDA Planning and Designing wing for approval and changes.
