CDA Releases the Updates on Phase 1 of Bhara Kahu Bypass Development
CDA released the updates of the Bhara Kahu Bypass Development, according to the latest news, details of the first phase of construction were made public by the Capital Development Authority. The news was published in a local newspaper for this purpose.
There are 2 phases of the Bhara Kahu Bypass Development project, the first phase, which we are talking about here, starts from Sangjani, G.T Road to sector D-12. According to the reports, the development work on phase 1 was carried out rapidly and almost 70% of the work is complete.
The design and alignment of the project were already finalized and approved by Army’s E and C branches. The initial starting point of this project is Malpur and ends near Satra Meel, Murree Road. However, the city managers are still waiting for the draft of PC-1, that’s under review by the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). After approval from FWO, the draft will be sent to Development Working Party (DWP). After the approval from DWP, work will officially start on the project.
Moreover, the Environment Impact Assessment draft report is also submitted to the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency. The Bhara Kahu Bypass was designed to provide an alternative route toward Murree, Kashmir, and Galiyat.
