CDA Approves PC-I for the Development of Sector C-16
The Capital Development Authority- Development Working Party has given a green signal to the PC-I of sector C-16. This was decided in a meeting of CDA-DWP which was headed by the CDA Chairman, Mr. Amir Ali Ahmed, himself.
The total amount of PC-I of sector C-16 is well over PKR 10 billion which will be used for the development of C-16. The sector C-16 is expected to be completed in the coming three years.
Sector C-16 was mainly owned by the influential family of Dr. Touqeer Shah who is the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. The land of C-16 was acquired by the CDA on a land-sharing formula which has benefitted the Shah family a lot.
According to the land-sharing formula, 4418 Kanals of land were being acquired and instead of 4 Kanal land, CDA only allocated one plot. This means that the family of Touqeer Shah got hundreds of plots in C-16.
The prices of C-16 plots are going to rise exponentially and this will greatly benefit this family as well. It is because the date for the Built-Up Property Awards is yet to be announced.
CDA has plans to allot 60% of the land to the locals and 5% to the government employees. The rest of the land will be sold to the investors.
A new park is also being approved by CDA-DWP in D-12 and it is going to be like the F-9 parks in Islamabad. The work on the landmarking has already begun by the concerned authorities for DHA.
