The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved the onboarding of the consultancy firm for the Margalla Highway expansion. The firm, Engineering Consultancy Services Punjab (ECSP), will provide consultancy services for the construction of a Margalla Highway Expansion. It will connect Margalla Avenue with the M-1 Motorway, the total length of Margalla Highway Expansion is 3.4 Km.

The project is part of the CDA’s efforts to improve the road network in the federal capital and provide better connectivity to the residents. The Margalla Highway is a key road in Islamabad that connects various residential and commercial areas. This road falls in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Engineering Consultancy Services Punjab (ECSP) will provide consultancy for the section of the road falling in Islamabad.

The following will be done by onboarding of the consultancy firm for the Margalla Highway expansion:

  • Impact on the Environment
  • Cost Estimation
  • Bidding and Tender Documents
  • Supervision of the construction work of Margalla Avenue

The CDA has said that the consultancy firm will be responsible for preparing the design and feasibility report for the project. The firm will also provide technical assistance during the construction phase and ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated time frame.
