Estate Wing of CDA has finally decided to progress on the long-awaited Kurri Model Village Project located in Zone 4 of Islamabad. CDA has started demolishing houses in Kurri Village and Reharra. The relevant department of CDA has already demolished 10 houses on friday 17th of October.
CDA is given rewards as well as plots in this project to all such affectees whose awards were decided in 1968 and who are handing over possession of their houses to CDA.
CDA had acquired 2900 acres of land in 1968 after announcement of award to the affectees, but the project couldn’t pull through as affectees were reluctant to hand over possession of land and the case went to highcourt. However, the present management of CDA has made this progress after a long time and work has started on this project.
