According to the news published in Daily Dunya News, CDA have been involved in major irregularities in newly launched sectors C-15 and C-16.
CDA have reportedly issued hundreds of allotment letters for 1 kanal plots in the aforementioned sectors without land acquisition. Even plot files were not issued before issuing allotment letters.
According to sources, CDA’s own employees have been the major beneficiaries who acquired many plots on the names of their relatives. Many of such files have been sold out again in the market which has pressurized CDA to act fast in order to prevent major losses.
When CDA announced awards for these sectors in 2011, land became non-transferable as per rules & regulations but CDA made new rules for this sector due to some influential people so people started purchasing cheap land & sold at high prices i.e. 10 lac per kanal.
CDA is actively working to sort out these issues, and some major decisions are expected which will determine the future of these sectors.
