Capital Development Authority (CDA) has plans to award the construction of 10th Avenue Islamabad in favor of the National Logistics Cell (NLC). This contract was reportedly decided after a competition between Frontier Works Organization (FWO) and NLC.
CDA has already allotted multiple projects to FWO in Islamabad. This time the stronger contender proved to be NLC to gain the contract for the construction of 10th Avenue which will run parallel to 9th Avenue.
CDA has plans for the construction to cater to the people living in I-10,
G-10, H-10, I-9, H-9, and F-10. The traffic problems for these sectors will be
completely resolved after the construction of the 10th Avenue.
The Federal Capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, has been facing traffic issues
on Islamabad Expressway and 9th Avenue during rush hours for a long
time now. The construction of 10th Avenue was long due because of
its huge impact on the reduction of traffic in the above-mentioned sectors.
