RDA’s Action against Illegal Societies: FIRs Lodged Against 4 Housing Projects
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is taking action against illegal housing projects regularly. RDA takes legal action against fraudulent projects every week, and suitable steps are taken to stop such projects from selling and marketing. Recently, RDA took strict action against four illegal housing societies operating in Rawalpindi and selling properties to the general public.
The details of four projects, against which RDA has taken action are given below:
- New Iqra City or Iqra Residencia in Mauza Chak Nawan
- Shah-e-Kharasan Valley in Mauza Gahan Syedan
- Moon Galaxy Housing Project in Mauza Kauliyan
- Rahber Joshua Block in Mauza Malukal

RDA also publicized the names of the owners of these housing projects; they are identified as Arshad Mehmood Rahi, Haq Nawaz, Saeed Rizvi, Muhammad Arshad Safi, Nabeel Shahzad, and Azhar Ali. As per the directives from Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP & TE) FIRs against all of the mentioned persons in Chakri Police Station.
According to the RDA spokesperson, notices were issued to all of the mentioned housing projects in the past. Furthermore, MP & TE is also taking action against the illegal marketing and advertisements of these housing projects.
RDA has already warned, that marketing, advertisements, and selling of plots before the acquisition of a proper No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the authority are illegal. Any residential, commercial, apartment, or housing project operating the administration area of RDA without NOC will be illegal and action will be taken against it.
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued a letter to different institutions, including the State Bank of Pakistan, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), FIA Cyber Crime Wing, OPF Islamabad, SNGPL, District Council and PEMRA about the illegal and misleading advertisements and marketing of project on Television as well as Social Media.
