Complete List of Illegal and Unapproved Housing Schemes in Lahore

Lahore Development Authority has published a huge list of illegal and unapproved housing schemes situated in Lahore Division. Majority of housing schemes have been marked as illegal, as their sponsors never obtained any approval from LDA. There are also some housing schemes in this list which are under approval process, therefore LDA has marked such housing schemes as unapproved rather than illegal.

This is a very important information for commoners and investors, as they should avoid investing in illegal housing schemes in order to avoid any possible losses.

LDA has published this list in all major news papers, and warned the sponsors and dealers of illegal housing projects to stop advertising and dealing such projects immediately, otherwise LDA reserves the right to initiate legal action against them.

We are listing the housing schemes as per their status, and location. Some housing schemes are situated in Lahore Zone 1 and some are located in Lahore Zone 2. Therefore, we have listed the schemes separately according to their zones. The societies falling under zone 1 are situated around Multan Road, Raiwind Road, GT Road, Canal Bank Road and adjacent areas. The societies falling under zone 2 are situated around Bedian Road, Ferozpur Road, UBD Canal, Raiwind Road, Bagarian Road and adjacent areas.

A – Many housing schemes/projects were launched without any approval from Lahore Development Authority, therefore, LDA has marked those housing projects illegal and advised general public to refrain from any sale purchase activity in such projects.

B – Some housing schemes have submitted applications to LDA for approval of their projects, but such housing schemes will be marked as unapproved and illegal until proper NOC is issued by LDA.

C – There are some housing schemes in Lahore whose applications for town planning have been approved by LDA, however registration of mortgaged plots, transfer of public amenities land, and approval of services design etc are under process. Therefore, such housing schemes will be considered unapproved until final approval is granted by LDA.

D – After the amendment in LDA act 1975 in the year 2013, local government and community development department of Punjab directed town municipal administration to transfer record of all housing schemes,  whether legal, illegal or under process situated in Lahore division, to Lahore Development Authority. Some of the transferred housing schemes are still pending approval due to miscellaneous reasons, and the local government is yet to decide the status of those housing scheme.
