Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Issues Notices and Declares 3 More Housing Projects Illegal
Rawalpindi Development Authority continued its operation against illegal housing projects in 2024, RDA took action against 3 housing schemes present in different areas of Rawalpindi City, and warned the citizens, not to purchase any properties in the mentioned housing projects.
The authority not only mentioned these housing projects to be illegal, but also, issued notices and identified the owners. The notification was issued as per the RDA Bylaws and orders from RDA Director General, Saif Anwar Jappa.
The details of these housing schemes are as follows:
- Shah-e-Khrasan Housing Scheme present in Mouza Chakra
- Ring Road Town located in Mouza Harka, Basali
- Imperial City is placed in the Mouza Sahang of Rawalpindi City.
RDA has also identified the owners of these illicit housing societies as Umar Awan, Saeed Rizvi, and Masood Azmat. Furthermore, notices were sent to all of them, to stop the illegal sale of property and advertising through different channels, mainly social media.
According to the RDA spokesperson, FIRs will be lodged against the owners of these projects and cases will be registered. Moreover, the sponsors of these projects have been warned to stop the illegal marketing of these unlawful housing projects.
In addition to this, RDA officials sent letters on the directions of DG RDA, towards the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate (MP & TE) RDA. The directorate was guided to start a legal inquiry against the owners of these projects as well as the marketers.
Furthermore, RDA has also demanded help from the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing to keep a close eye on illegal projects, advertising their products online, and stopping the marketing of illegal projects across social media platforms.
Furthermore, the spokesperson of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) also advised the general public to stop investing in illegal housing projects and obtain proper information about housing societies from the authority’s official website i.e. rda.gop.pk.
