This project has already faced a lot of delays in the past, first due to the government change in April 2022. Later on, the new government halted the project due to insufficient funds. However, development started later on but it was slow, therefore, RDA took notice and advised FWO to deploy more labor and complete it as soon as possible.

During the RDA meeting, NESPAK, the leading consultant was directed to put efforts into the projects where FWO was also instructed to fill gaps in Tourism Highway. After completion of this project, both locals and tourists will get easy access to mentioned location and benefits. The total length of the Tourism Highway is 123 Kilometers and starts from Rawat Pandori Chowk to the above-mentioned destinations. This project will be completed with a total cost of PKR 4.75 Billion. In addition to laying a road, around 200,000 trees will be planted alongside this expressway to conserve nature and improve its beauty.
