RDA Takes Action against 2 Housing Projects, Multiple Sub-Division Owners

Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) continues its operation against illegal housing projects, land mafia, and fraudulent marketing of projects across different mediums. According to the spokesperson of RDA, the authority has carried out yet another mega operation against more illegal housing projects and illegal land subdivisions. Furthermore, the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate (MP & TE) has issued notices to the owners of two private housing schemes and 11 illegal land sub-divisions.

The two illegal schemes, against which actions were taken, include Ittehad Town located in in Mauza Harnal Mandra, Chakwal Road and the other illegal housing scheme is by Aziz Builders and Developers, spanning from Joriyan to Gahi Syedan in Mauza Jarari.

In addition to this, the Rawalpindi Development Authority has also taken action against 11 illegal land subdivision owners and mentioned their names in the press release. Furthermore, the RDA has also warned the sponsors of different housing schemes and clarified that any housing project should acquire NOC from the administrative authorities before marketing and selling their products.

RDA has also collaborated with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), FIA, and Cyber Crime Wing to put a hold on illegal marketing and sales of housing projects. DG RDA has also instructed the Director MP & TE to take action against the illegal marketing of housing schemes and lodge FIRs against the owners.

Housing project owners should apply for approval from RDA, abide by the rules and regulations of the authority, and start marketing. Otherwise, strict action will be taken against them. Moreover, the Rawalpindi Development Authority has also advised citizens to stay aware of the illegal project and refrain from investing any money to avoid any losses in the future.
