After the registrations have closed in Naya Pakistan Housing Programs, the government has been working out on availability of land across Pakistan where housing units can be constructed for government employees as well as general public. In this context, the government has earmarked about 9000 kanals of land in LDA City Lahore for construction of 50,000 apartments.
The subject land falls in Mouza Haloki, Lahore. LDA has taken possession of about 2800 kanals out of total 9000 kanals marked for this mega development venture.
In the first phase of constructions, apartments will be built over about 2200 kanals of land. The engineering wing of LDA has already finalized the preliminary design of apartment buildings. The apartment buildings will comprise ground + 2 storeys ,and ground + 6 storeys.
There will be total 9000 apartments in phase 1, that will be spread over 2200 kanals of land. These apartments will be given to the employees of LDA, WASA and TEPA. These employees will also be given loan facility from housing building finance corporation.
In the next phases of the project, more apartments will be constructed for government employees as well as general public registered under Naya Pakistan Housing Program.
