Gwadar Development Authority has announced to lift ban on all types of new development and construction projects falling within its jurisdiction. The ban was lifted with immediate effect on 28th of February 2020.
The ban was imposed on all new construction and development projects few years back due to the ongoing process of revision of Gwadar Master Plan. Despite having received multiple applications for mega development projects, the authority was unable to issue new NOC’s due to the ban.
The only option to start a project in Gwadar was to buy a GDA approved project which had acquired NOC before the ban was imposed. That is why we did not see any new development projects launching in Gwadar over the past 3 to 4 years.
Since the new master plan of Gwadar has now been finalized, the ban is being lifted on all kinds of NOCs for housing, commercial, industrial, recreational, warehouses, and all types of construction and development activities falling within GDA’s jurisdiction.
