Rawalpindi Ring Road to be completed in the Given Time Frame: Commissioner Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi Ring Road is the most noticeable development in the premises of Rawalpindi City. It is an effort to transform the commutation of the twin cities and reduce traffic congestion from intercity arteries. However, according to the latest updates, Rawalpindi Ring Road completion will be done within the given period which is from 9 months to 1 year.
Commissioner Rawalpindi, Liaquat Ali Chatta visited the Rawalpindi Ring Road project FWO camp office, and he was briefed on the development progress of the Ring Road project. Furthermore, the commissioner also, personally reviewed the development progress by visiting different areas, starting from Khasala Khurd, Adyala Road Interchange to Thalian Interchange.
During this visit, the commissioner expressed a warning to all related authorities concerning negligence on the development work on Rawalpindi Ring Road.
As per the latest updates, Rawalpindi Ring Road will include 5 total interchanges, two bridges on rivers, 6 canals, and a railway bridge. Moreover, 15 subways will be developed on Ring Road along with a rest area along it, informed the developers. Furthermore, No route will be given to any housing project, the commissioner further stated.
Rawalpindi Ring Road is an excellent project for the residents of twin cities, as it will not only create accessibility to far-off areas of the city but generate job opportunities and boost infrastructural development. It is also important to mention that the government has already acquired the land area for Ring Road.
In addition to this, the development has formally started the route has been cleared, the groundwork has been completed at a large scale and further developments are underway.
