Punjab Government has issued orders to commence work on Rawalpindi Ring Road Project. The work will also commence on Leh Expressway and Flood Channel to ensure that this project is completed alongside Rawalpindi Ring Road.

The Planning and Development Board has given a green signal to the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to start working on these projects right away. It is now approved as a 38-km long road that will connect major parts of the city and will benefit the new planned housing projects around it.

This entire project will be financed from the resources of the provincial government and no federal entity or international fund will finance it. All the concerned departments are notified to start the planning and development of the Ring Road Project.

The idea behind this project is to lessen the traffic burden within the city as this will work as a bypass road. However, its merger with M2 Motorway is contentious and the project consultants are still indecisive about it.

However, one thing is for sure the Rawalpindi Ring Road project is going to bring immense development in the surroundings of that area. It has already raised the prices of land near the planned route and would further increase the plot prices near it including RUDN Enclave, Silver City, and Blue World City.

This project will add exponential value to the housing projects as well as provide safe passage to travelers. The government has ensured that this project is free of any corruption and they are ensuring transparency at every level.

The housing projects near Rawalpindi Ring Road will have access points that would connect them to G.T. road on one side and Motorway on the other end. This is going to be a newly developed area with a network of roads and bypasses.
