Here is a very good news regarding Rawalpindi Ring Road project after a horrible episode of corruption inquiries which created grave uncertainty on its future. Despite Prime Minister’s repeated statements about the resumption of Ring Road project very soon, there are serious question marks on Government’s capability to handle such large scale development project.
According to official sources, there is a positive development towards resumption of Rawalpindi Ring Road as a revised PC-1 has been submitted to the Government of Punjab for approval. As per the reports, the Government is pursuing the old plan of Rawalpindi Ring Road which is 38 KM in length and connects GT Road at Banth to Thalian Interchange on Motorway M-2.

Government sources are quite positively hoping that this mega project is expected to be inaugurated any time in August 2021 by Prime Minister Imran Khan. If the claims are true, this is going to be a game changer development for this particular area including Adyala Road and Chakri Road.
