Prime Minister Imran Khan to Inaugurate Margalla Avenue Project

Finally the wait is over. Prime Minister Imran Khan is going to reopen construction of the long-stalled Margalla Avenue on Monday, April 19, 2021. The earth breaking ceremony will be held at 11:00 am and FWO will formally start construction of this 32 KM long Margalla Avenue which is part of Rawalpindi Ring Road

Earlier the CDA wanted to build this road from Sector D-12 up to D-17, which is about 10KM. However, the government has decided to complete this entire 32 KM long project from Sangjani up to Satra Meel Murree Road in one go.

You can see the alignment of Margalla Avenue on Rawalpindi Ring Road Map below:

Margalla Avenue Route Map

As you can see on the map above, the green line shows the alignment of Margalla Avenue which ends near Bhara Kahu on Murree Road. Yellow dotted line shows the eastern bypass that will start in the next phase of Rawalpindi Ring Road.

This is a very good news for people who have invested in C and D sectors of CDA, and also for B-17, D-17, D-18, Faisal Hills and all neighboring housing schemes which directly benefit from this highway. Margalla Highway will not only provide direct and easy access to these sectors, but also open new commercial opportunities in this area.

Involvement of a professional organization like FWO which works under Ministry of Defense ensures that the project will be completed within given timeframe.
