LDA Takes Notice of Violations of NOC by Al-Rehmat Housing Project Lahore

Alrehmat Project Bahria Town Lahore

LDA has taken notice of some blatant violations of NOC awarded to Al-Rehmat Housing Project Lahore and warned sponsors to stop illegal activities immediately, otherwise legal action will be taken against them by LDA.

We already know that Al-Rehmat project is a commercial project sponsored by Bahria Town Lahore, however first we need to check the newspaper advertisement which gave details of NOC awarded to this project.

It is interesting to see that we do not see the name of Bahria Town anywhere in this advertisement, instead some director of Al-Rehmat Metal Works Private Limited is the key person representing this project. Also, the project is mentioned as a housing scheme instead of a commercial scheme as advertised by Bahria Town.

If we go deeper into the details, we come to know that it is a housing scheme with 661.34 kanals of land in Mouza Kot Lakhpat, Kacha Jail Road, Tehsil Model Town, Lahore. The project has 4 marla residential plots, apartments and 3 to 5.5 marla commercial plots which is the approved plan of Al-Rehmat Project Lahore.

LDA has recently issued notices to the authorized dealers of Bahria Town who had been booking plots in this project on behalf of Bahria Town Lahore without using the name of Bahria Town. Let's take a look at the notice first and note down the violations done by Bahria Town against the approved NOC.

As per the notice given above, the sponsors have been involved in the following violations of approved NOC by LDA:

1- Changing plot numbers & Locations

2- Carving out plots on private land excluded from the scheme area

3- Showing residential plots as semi-commercial plots, whereas there is no category of semi-commercial plots in this housing scheme

LDA has warned the sponsors to stop illegal advertisement and sale of plots against the approved layout plan of Al-Rehmat Project. In case of non-compliance, LDA will be at liberty to take any legal action without any further notice.
