Islamabad Expressway Expansion from PWD to T-Chowk
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has onboarded a consultant to speedily complete the work on the long-due Islamabad Expressway expansion from PWD to T-Chowk. It is great news for all the new and existing housing societies that are located on both sides of the Islamabad Expressway.
The residents of Islamabad face trouble on this road during rush hours because it is only a 2-lane road. The road will be expanded from 2-lane to 5-lane and this will resolve the problem of traffic in the area.
The idea is to ensure that the traffic flow is smooth and the people living in this area can enjoy hassle-free travel. There are many housing societies alongside this patch of Islamabad Expressway and the residents had to face long queues, especially around rush hour.
The famous housing societies alongside this patch are Naval Anchorage, OPF Valley, PWD, Pakistan Town, National Police Foundation, Korang Town, and DHA. All these housing societies and neighboring populations from Kahuta, and other areas will benefit from it. There is also a Bahria Lifestyle project in development at this location.
This is a 7-km long patch and this is already being supervised by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The entire patch will be completed as early as possible to ensure a smooth flow of traffic from PWD to T-Chowk.
The consultant will work on the entire project and especially the two bridges that are going to be constructed on Kak Pul and Naval Anchorage. The housing societies are going to benefit the most from the Islamabad Expressway expansion project and the commute times be reduced by more than half.
