China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is considered a game changer project for Pakistan which provides intra-provincial connectivity that is vital for future growth of our country. A network of motorways is being developed across Pakistan so that good can be transported from Gwadar Port to all parts of the country and beyond. This project is being developed under supervision of CPEC authority which works in coordination with Pakistan Army.
Dera Ismail Khan to Hakla Motorway is part of CPEC western route which is currently in final stages of development. About 86% work on this section of western route has already been completed, and the Government is planning to open this motorway latest by September this year.

Infrastructure development is the first phase of CPEC that will improve connectivity between regions. In second phase, special economic zones will be built and new industries will be established. CPEC project is targeted to be fully operational by 2030.
