Commissioner Rawalpindi Hints of Reviving Rawalpindi Ring Road
News: According to the latest updates, Commissioner Rawalpindi has taken notice of continuous delays in the development of mega projects of Rawalpindi, including the long-awaited Rawalpindi Ring Road Project. He stated that all the projects should be started immediately and should be completed on time. He addressed the press and officials of the development authorities on Tuesday.
As we all know, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Capital Development Authority (CDA), and other related development authorities have already started different development projects in the twin, Rawalpindi Ring Road being the most noticeable project of all. But the issue is, all of these projects are facing constant delays.
However, Commissioner Rawalpindi took the notice of these delays and ordered to start and finish the developments as soon as possible. He said that Ring Road Project is the backbone of Rawalpindi and it will transform the traffic flow within the city and ease the residents greatly. He went on to say that this project will also create hundreds of job opportunities and promote business activities. Moreover, he stated that “No leniency will be tolerated nor any excuses will be entertained, developers should solve the issues and all hurdles will remove according”.
Furthermore, he said that the security agencies including Rawalpindi Police have been directed to take strict action against the encroachment mafia and no illegal occupation will be allowed on the route of Rawalpindi Ring Road.

Furthermore, Commissioner Rawalpindi also addressed other issues including price control during inflation, provision of clean drinking water in the city, and also to improve the sewerage system in Rawalpindi. For this purpose, he directed the establishment of water filtration plants in different areas and the construction of bigger sewerage lines. Moreover, he also asked to improve the transportation system and establish public parks.
It is also worth mentioning that different housing projects are also awaiting the start of development work and adjusting their project accordingly.
