According to CDA officials, 50% of the development work has been completed by the development authorities. Bhara Kahu Bypass is one of the major development projects in the capital city as it gives alternate routes to traffic coming from Faizabad to different areas of Islamabad.

Moreover, this development will also create a spacious route for tourists going toward Murree, Galyat, and other northern areas. It will reduce traffic congestion in Islamabad. The project was officially launched by Prime Minister, Shehbaz Shareef in September of 2022, and he gave the deadline of February 2022. But as of January, 50% work has been completed.

However, according to the officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), it is impossible to fully develop the project by February. Moreover, they said that the project will be developed and delivered by April of 2023. Afterward, it will be opened to traffic.

Keep in mind that a total of PKR 6.5 Billion was specified for the development of this project. It starts from Malpur Islamabad and extends to Quaid-e-Azam University. The total length of this road is around 6.6 Kilometers, including the flyover.
