CDA Plans to Initiate Anti-Encroachment Operation in Islamabad
Capital Development Authority (CDA) is an administrative body that regulates the real estate sector of the federal capital Islamabad. Recently, the CDA officials announced an encroachment operation in Islamabad. This will be a grand operation to recover land, plots, and buildings from illegal encroachments. Furthermore, all illegal constructions and buildings will be removed from the capital city.
This anti-encroachment operation in Islamabad will start from two major sectors including Sector I-12/2 and Sector I-12/3. The CDA directorate has ordered action against the illegal properties. CDA has requested help from other authorities and police as well, as people with illegal properties often charge on CDA personnel. Furthermore, the teams of CDA are accompanied by police and heavy machines that deteriorate the illegal constructions.
According to CDA, this action is taken because the illegal constructions are hampering the development work in both of the mentioned sectors, therefore, they should be destroyed. This operation continues in different sectors and housing projects of the federal capital. Aside from Sector I-12, different encroachments including streets and illegal parking areas are also destroyed in Rawal Town.
Moreover, Sector F-7 also faces a heavy anti-encroachment operation from CDA, street and food stalls of this sector were diminished to introduce ample parking spaces for people visiting F-7 Markaz. In addition to this, numerous buildings and structures in G.T Road Zone 2 were also targeted in this operation. Buildings that do not follow CDA’s rules and regulations are shut down and they will be diminished as well.
Aside from this, the Capital Development Authority will also investigate the matter of 300 Kanal land recovered and handed over to developers to accelerate the development projects.
This operation is likely to speed up in the future as CDA is committed to getting the land and properties back from illegal encroachments!
