Tariq Sharif Smart City Rawalpindi along with two other housing projects including Green Woods Housing Scheme (Forest Town) Rawalpindi and Minar City Housing Scheme gets approval from The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA)
A meeting chaired by senior provincial ministers of Punjab approved the project as a low-cost housing scheme to fulfill the needs of housing in the province. The town planning agency is further asked to make sure that developers of housing schemes leave enough space to plant trees, plan water resources and provide a foolproof drainage system.
These low-cost housing schemes will also leave 20% of land for New Pakistan Housing Project to make homes affordable to everyone.
