Sindh Cabinet Approves Launch of Low-Cost Housing Schemes in the Province

The Sindh Cabinet has finally approved the launch of the low-cost housing schemes that will be built all across the province. The government has addressed the issue of housing for the low-income class of the society who are living in different parts of Sindh.

These low-cost housing schemes are targeted toward the underprivileged class in Sindh who cannot afford their own house. This was decided in the cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi and the meeting was presided by the CM Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah.

Mr. Hassan Naqvi, Planning & Development Board Chairman, was also present in the meeting alongside Chief Secretary, Mr. Sohail Rajput. All the special assistants, advisors, and provincial ministers were part of this meeting.

Sindh Katchi Abadis Authority (SKAA) initiated this proposal so that the people living underprivileged lives. Another added advantage of these low-cost housing societies will also benefit the people who were affected by the encroachment drives.

The Board of Revenue will be responsible for the allocation of land across the entire province so that the land can be acquired for this purpose as soon as possible. SKAA is given the responsibility to make a detailed plan on how these housing schemes are to be launched.

SKAA has already begun its progress in this regard as it was discussed in the meeting the SKAA has already begun work on Sasti Basti Housing Scheme. Sasti Basti Housing Scheme is a project of SKAA that is being run in different locations within Sindh.
