RDA To Facilitate Commercial and Residential Construction
DG RDA, Tahir Zafar Abbasi has instructed RDA to facilitate commercial and residential construction in the city. He has instructed LD&EM Directorate to facilitate the construction work so that the pending residential and commercial projects may complete in time.
This decision came in after a meeting was held by the DG Office and he has also clearly mentioned that the RDA Officers need to take urgent steps. He wants the infrastructural gap to be filled as early as possible.
This meeting was attended by the high-ranking officials of RDA, Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE), and LD&EM. DG Tahir Zafar has also mentioned in the meeting to take strict action against the encroachments and illegal establishments in Rawalpindi.
LD&EM is being assigned another important task of digitalizing the land records of Rawalpindi. This will reduce the land being used for illegal purposes and encroachments can also be stopped with this step.
There will be no compromise as RDA to facilitate commercial and residential construction will not be tolerated and action will be taken against illegal construction practices. All the work done must be top-notch and meet the international standards of construction.
Under these clear instructions by the DG Office RDA, the residents of Rawalpindi will be given complete relief by the RDA. The administration will ensure that any help that is required for the completion of a commercial or a residential project will be provided to the developers.
