In response to numerous complaints from the residents of University Town Islamabad, Rawalpindi Development Authority has finally undertaken the task to resolve the longstanding issues of this society. While the society is ideally located along Motorway M-2 near New Islamabad Airport, it has been unable to tap its potential due to poor infrastructure and lack of basic services.
In a recent public announcement on social media, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) highlighted the proactive steps taken by its Director General (DG), Kinza Murtaza, to address the grievances of University Town residents.
As part of these efforts, Director Lands, Mr. Malik Ghazanfar Awan, personally visited University Town to assess the situation and take immediate action to resolve the concerns of the residents. Following this visit, a special team has been established under the guidance of DG RDA. This team is tasked with ensuring that the developer of University Town completes all necessary development works promptly, enabling residents to access basic amenities and utilities.
Furthermore, DG RDA has instructed her staff to prioritize the resolution of complaints on an urgent basis. She has also committed to personally monitoring the progress to ensure timely implementation of the required measures.
