Pakistan’s First-Ever Digital City

PM Imran Khan will inaugurate Pakistan’s first-ever Digital City Special Technology Zone Project in Haripur. This is the first time that any digital city project has been started in Pakistan.

PM will visit Haripur along with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and other provincial and federal ministers will accompany as well. This is a one-of-its-kind project that will bring innovation to other cities of the country.

The project spans over 86 Kanals and the total cost of this project is going to be around PKR 1.31 billion. KPK government is taking an active part in its development and this project is being developed at the provincial level.

This project is going to bring innovativeness to different cities in the future since this project will be replicated in other cities. KPK government will take care of the project from start till the end and the funds will be allocated accordingly.

The current government of KPK is determined to bring innovation and research to the province by initiating these projects. The overall impact of this project is going to be resonated in all provinces across Pakistan.

This project was approved in August 2021, and this project is aimed at managing all the industries with innovative technology. It will benefit all the industries manufacturing as well as services industry in the city.

PM Imran Khan has been an advocate of technology and he has been promoting new ideas in his tenure. This is a step forward in the right direction as the people will benefit from this new and innovative digital city concept.

This will also boost the economy of the province and provide new avenues to be explored by the tech entrepreneurs. The concept of a digital city is not new around the world but in Pakistan this is unprecedented.
