Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme in Zone 4 Islamabad. He made a speech at the inaugural ceremony and described some features of this low cost housing program for the low-income people of Islamabad.
Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme Islamabad is said be part a joint venture between the government of Pakistan and Bahria Town, as the site location of the project is the same as that of Bahria Hills (old Bahria Enclave 2) near Angoori Road.

Under this housing program, 18,500 housing units will be built over the next one and a half years, out of which, 10,000 houses will be given to the deserving low income strata of the society through computerized ballot.
These housing units will be built within 18 months from the start of the project, and prices will be very much affordable to the majority of low income families. Bank loan facility will also be available through designated banks.
As per the PM’s vision of building 5 million housing units for the poor people of Pakistan, government will provide land to private developers across the country, and developers will build housing units for the general public.
