Lahore Ring Road Authority has published Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road. After the Government of Punjab approved Public Private Partnership last week, LRRA is now actively seeking proposals from interested national and international firms for construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road under BOT (build, operate, transfer) model.
As per the plan, construction cost of Rawalpindi Ring Road is estimated to be about 38 to 40 billion rupees. The Government will provide land to the private developer, while the developer will be responsible for the design, finance, construction, and maintenance of Rawalpindi Ring Road under BOT model of twenty five years concession period.
RFP documents are available in the office of the Infrastructure Specialist, PMU Commissioner Office, Katcheri Chowk, Rawalpindi during office hours 02-04-2021 against payment of PKR 10,000/- non-refundable in favor of Lahore Ring Road Authority.
RFP comprising of Pre-qualification documents, technical proposal and financial proposal should reach the issuing office latest by 12-04-2021.
As per the Government Sources, Rawalpindi Ring Road inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held by the end of April 2021 after the finalization of contractor through this RFP process.
