The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recently announced its plans to develop new parks and an international standard food street in Islamabad, to provide its citizens with more green spaces, and recreational, and eatery areas. This move is part of the government’s efforts to improve the overall quality of life in the city.
The new parks will be developed in different areas of the city, with a focus on the suburbs where there are fewer green spaces. Whereas, the food street will be named “Capital Walk Street” and it will be developed in Shakarparian. CDA has identified several locations for the new parks, and the development work is expected to begin soon.
The development of new parks in Islamabad will bring a range of benefits to the citizens of the city. Firstly, the new parks will provide residents with more recreational areas where they can relax, exercise, and spend time with their families. This will help to improve the mental and physical health of the citizens of Islamabad.
Capital Development Authority plans to develop 6 amusement parks in different areas of Islamabad. CDA has adopted the policy of developing parks in all the newly developing sectors in the federal capital that include Sectors I-11 to I-16 and Sectors D-12 and Park Enclave Islamabad.
Capital Walk Street will be established in Shakarparian, this will be a walking route surrounded by different food outlets. The idea has been taken from the highly-famous walking food streets of Baku and Dubai. A total of 25 Acre land area will be covered by this proposed walking food street. Furthermore, 1 Kanal portion will be leased to widely known food businesses.
It is also important to mention that only food businesses will be allowed to operate on Capital Walk Street. The tender has been released, and the successful bidder will be onboarded for the construction of this food street.
