Capital Development Authority (CDA) to Develop a Model Village in Islamabad

Islamabad to get a Model Village, CDA

Capital Development Authority (CDA) is taking some noticeable steps towards the betterment and development of the federal capital of Pakistan, Islamabad. Different infrastructural projects have surfaced in the last few years through the efforts of CDA. Recently, CDA announced the construction of a Model Village in Islamabad; furthermore, the authority has also released a two-year development timeline for this unique project.

Islamabad Model Village Details

A spokesperson of the Capital Development Authority shed light on the details of this model village as follows:

  • The total land area for this model village is 3621 Kanal
  • 4500 residential plots will be developed in the Model Village
  • All residential plots will be of 10 Marla
  • It will house a multipurpose commercial center for future residents
  • Class 3 shopping centers will be established here
  • A Jamia mosque will be developed in this complex
  • Moreover, a dedicated healthcare center will be constructed for residents
  • The development of this new Model Village in Islamabad will be completed in 2 years

CDA has taken the initiative of allotting the major part of these residential plots to the people affected by land acquiring for different projects of the authority. Specifically, affected people of the CDA Park Enclave Housing project in Islamabad. Two Mauzas, including the Mauza Kurri and Mauza Rihara, were impacted by the Park Enclave project, so people who transferred land to CDA will be the primary beneficiaries of Islamabad’s New Model Village.

It is important to mention here, that this project was part of CDA’s Islamabad development vision but faced multiple delays for more than 8 years. Now, with the orders from Islamabad High Court, CDA will officially launch this project and deliver it within 2 years.
