FWO Given a Six-Month Extension to Wrap Up Construction of the Margalla Avenue

Margalla Avenue Development Banner

It has been decided by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to give an extension to Frontier Works Organization (FWO) for the completion of the Margalla Avenue Project. The decision was made after the scope of work was expanded otherwise the project would have been completed on 10th June.

Margalla Road Project was a 2-lane project on either side and but later CDA decided that the lanes must be three on either side to facilitate a heavy flow of traffic. Many housing societies have been constructed in the Federal Capital and the traffic flow will increase very soon.

The work on the entire project is likely to be completed in the next three months but the additional three months will allow the developers room for any remaining work. All subsidiary work will be completed in the extended six months once the project is done.

CDA Aamer Ali has personally visited the site of construction and showed his satisfaction with the pace of the work. According to the sources, the work on the project is 70% complete and 6 KMs have already been carpeted.

The proposals have been submitted for the graveyard issue on this road, but the official announcement is yet to be made by the authority. This 33-KM long patch has always been in the master plan of Islamabad as it extends from G.T. Road to Bara Kahu. The work being done by FWO is great so far. And they are always expected to deliver on time as their reputation precedes them.

Margalla Avenue also called Margalla Expressway spans several kilometers developing near Margalla Hills. It is going to benefit various housing projects situated near Sector D-12 and Sector B-17. To invest in the best housing projects in the vicinity, contact Manahil Estate at 0345-5222253
