The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued notices to eight housing schemes in various cities that are reportedly using the “WAPDA” name without permission. This action was taken after WAPDA filed a complaint. The following housing schemes have been summoned:
- WAPDA Employees Cooperative Housing Society, Kasur
- WAPDA Employees Cooperative Housing Society, Sheikhupura
- WAPDA Employees Cooperative Housing Society, Faisalabad
- WAPDA Employees Cooperative Housing Society, Gujranwala

The FIA has asked these housing schemes to explain why they are using the WAPDA name and logo without authorization, and selling plots under the name of a government institution. The FIA has warned that legal action will be taken against all housing schemes that misuse WAPDA’s name.
