The residents of the Capital are soon to witness Islamabad’s second-largest park in Zone 3, stated the CDA officials. According to the latest news, CDA announced the building of a park right next to Margalla Road, north of the sector D-12 in Zone 3.
This is a great initiative taken by the Environment Wing and the Revenue department of Capital Develop Authority to contribute to the environment of the city. Both of the mentioned authorities have already started to mark the land for this park.
According to an official of the Capital Development Authority, roughly 2000 Kanal of land is specified for Islamabad’s second-largest park in Zone 3. However, there is a total of 4000 Kanal unused land at the selected location. Furthermore, he said the purpose of this park is to provide a recreational sport for the people living in the neighborhood.
He further added that this will be the second-largest park after the Fatimah Jinnah Park, famously known as the F-9 Park. The land is already by CDA and handed over to the Park Directorate and the construction will start soon.
As of now, the planning of this Park is underway, and tenders will be released after the finalization and approval of the design. It will be a multipurpose park with jogging tracks, sports arenas, and children’s entertainment areas.
