CDA Starts Development Work in Park Enclave Phase 2 Islamabad
After a long pause of about 5 years, CDA has finally decided to initiate basic infrastructural development work in Park Enclave Phase 2. Due to persistent demand and pressure from general public to resume and complete development work in stalled sectors, the civic authority has geared up for development spree across all such areas that were launched years ago. It includes sector E-12, I-12, I-15 and finally Park Enclave Phase 2.
CDA is currently working on construction of nine roads/streets, while 2 more roads/streets will be completed by next week. As per the plan, CDA will build 28 roads/streets in this sectors within a few weeks, and then it will take on other infrastructure development tasks without further delay.
CDA projects tend to be delayed for decades due to many internal and external reasons including Land Issues, Political Pressures, Personal Interests, Lack of Funds, and Lack of Responsibility. Park Enclave project has also suffered from such delays in the past, and CDA failed to deliver even its first phase completely.
Park Enclave phase 2 was launched in 2015, but there is no development till date. Instead of delivering earlier phases, CDA launched its Phase 3 this year which received mixed responses due to past track record of the civic authority.
CDA seems to have generated sufficient funds from recent auctions of commercial plots in Islamabad, therefore it is seriously working on pending development works across different sectors and zones falling under ICT. We have seen similar developments happening in the past few months in E-12 and I-12 and I-15, therefore we hope that all such pending residential projects will be developed and delivered within next few years and people will finally start living there.
