CDA Releases IJP Road Islamabad Development Timeline
According to the latest news, Capital Development Authority (CDA) planned the widening of the I.J. Principal road in the past. For this purpose, CDA awarded the project to National Logistic Cell (NLC). Now CDA released the timeline and announced the completion dates for this project.
According to reports, the IJP Road widening project will be completed by April 2023. Recently, a meeting was held by NLC to inform the representatives of CDA on the development progress of IJP Road. In this meeting, the officials of NLC briefed the CDA Chairman, Mr. Amer Ali Ahmed. He stated that almost 40% of the development work on the project has been completed.
Furthermore, the CDA chairman also advised the civil agencies to clear the main IJP Road and its surrounding traffic by introducing an alternate route. Moreover, a special control cell is established along with a furnished control room to monitor and respond in case of any emergency or unforeseen circumstances.
In addition to this, Mr. Amer Ali Ahmed also advised the officials of NLC to speed up the work on the IJP Road, so it can be opened completely for traffic in less time. He emphasized the 4 Km part of the road from Pir Wadhai Mor to Pir Wadhai bus stand as it is a major commutation area for the general public.
The following sub-projects are the part of IJP Road Widening Project:
- 2 Flyovers
- 2 Bridges
- 7 Culverts
A flyover is also planned on the 9th Avenue whereas one bridge will be constructed at Priwadahi and one bridge at Kattarian.
