CDA has Issued Notices to Illegal Buildings on Park Road Islamabad

News: According to the latest news, Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued legal notices to the owners of the illegal building on Park Road Islamabad. CDA issued these notices on 30 January 2023; the owners of these properties are given a time frame to legalize the structures or heavy penalties will be imposed.

According to the data shared by Capital Development Authority (CDA), there are a total of 39 buildings on Park Road that are considered illegal constructions by the administrative authorities. CDA has issued legal issues to the owners of these buildings. Furthermore, a deadline of two weeks has been assigned by Capital Development Authority for the legalization of these structures. Failure to do so will result in heavy fines and penalties as per the regulations of the authority.

Furthermore, in case of failure, Capital Development Authority also reserves the right to seal these buildings, take over them or demolish them and legal actions will be taken against the owners of these illegal structures. It is also worth mentioning that legal notices are issued to different residential and commercial buildings and civic buildings including apartment buildings, commercial plazas, shopping malls, schools, and hospitals.

The issuance of these legal notices is under the anti-encroachment drive of the Capital Development Authority in which different government institutes are guided to demolish or overtake the encroachment properties in the federal capital. Furthermore, CDA has also released a report for the encroachment operations in Islamabad in the year 2022. According to the report, over 1100 operations were carried out in the federal capital and different properties belonging to the federal government were recovered as a result of CDA’s anti-encroachment drive.
