70 Illegal Water Connections Disconnected By Capital Development Authority

Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken action against the illegal water connections in the Bari Imam area in Islamabad. There were a total of 70 illegal connections in the area and all of them are now disconnected to eliminate the water shortage in the area.

All these illegal connections were draining the main supply line because of which the residents were being deprived of their lawful right to water by the CDA. It was one of the main reasons for the water shortage in the city and it was time that due action was taken against the culprits.

In this operation, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration and the Water Supply Directorate took part. All the illegal water suction pumps were also removed so that such illegal water connections can be avoided in the future as well.

CDA disconnected illegal water connections with the efforts of the Federal Police and the area’s magistrate who partnered with CDA to end this problem. The water shortage problem in the city was hitting hard on the residents of the city and this operation was the need of time.

This operation was not a surprise for the locals as the CDA had already issued a warning in the newspapers. The culprits were warned to remove their water suction pumps and illegal connections.

CDA disconnected illegal water connections to eradicate the water shortage problem and the residents will enjoy a smooth flow of water supply. The residents are encouraged to report illegal connections so that they are removed immediately.
