The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recently resumed development activities in Sector C-15 Islamabad after 7 long years. This decision comes as a relief to the residents of the area who have been waiting for the completion of the development work for a long time. CDA initially started the development of Sector C-15 back in 2022, but it was stopped in a few days due to several reasons. Now, CDA aims to develop this sector on a “Priority Basis”.

Sector C-15 is a prime location in Islamabad and is situated close to important areas such as Blue Area, F-6, and F-7. The area was initially planned to be developed as a residential and commercial area, but due to various reasons, the development work had been stalled for the past 7 years.

The development of Sector C-15 is a significant step towards fulfilling the long-standing demands of the residents. The development work includes the construction of roads, drainage systems, and other essential infrastructure. The CDA has allocated a significant budget for the development work, and the project is expected to be completed within a reasonable timeframe.

CDA Chairman, Noor ul Amin Mengal, also shared some remarks; he said that the development of Sector C-15 has started after 15 years. Efforts will be put in to complete the development of Sector C-15 and allot the properties to the rightful owners. Capital Development Authority (CDA) acquired the land in this sector back in 2008, through a land-sharing formula. Owners were granted 1 Kanal-developed plot for 4 Kanal undeveloped plots.

CDA had made the land adjustments but failed to issue the allotments letters, as per the details, allottees are divided into the following categories:

  • A total of 504 people are eligible for the allotment of developed plots.
  • 167 people are present on the A-list, and 337 people are placed on the B-list.

CDA’s decision to continue development after 7 long years is a testament to the authority’s commitment to the development of Islamabad and its surrounding areas. It is hoped that this development work will be completed shortly and developed plots will be allotted.
