9 Housing Schemes for Overseas Pakistanis
Introduction
Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has recently recapped nine different housing schemes for overseas Pakistanis. This is aimed to ensure that the Pakistanis living abroad can easily buy properties and invest in Pakistan.
Housing Schemes for Overseas Pakistanis
OP&HR has introduced these housing societies in these locations, Phase-1 extension, and Phase-II OPF Farmhouses, Dadu, Larkana, Peshawar, Gujrat, Phase-1 Lahore Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Housing Scheme, Zone-V Islamabad, and Chittarpari Mirpur AJK.
All the locations are primely situated in the above-mentioned cities and thousands of plots have already been allotted to overseas Pakistanis. These locations also include metropolitan cities of Pakistan namely Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar.
The aim is to be inclusive of overseas Pakistanis belonging to all parts of Pakistan including Azad Jammu Kashmir. Mirpur is a major project of OP&HR and this is to attract affluent Pakistanis living aboard as well.
One of the major projects of OP & HR is in Lahore and it is situated on famous Raiwand Road. This is the largest area for any OP&HR society as this society spreads over 2316 Kanals.
OPF Housing Scheme Bhimber Road Gujrat is another major project of OP&HR and it spreads over 296 Kanals. Like all the housing societies, it is going to have both commercial and residential plots.
The largest project in Sindh is OPF Housing Scheme Naudero Road Larkana which covers 228 Kanals. Another housing project of Pakistan is in Peshawar where the land is 991 Kanals.
Conclusion
Government has recently put its efforts into property development to attract overseas Pakistanis so that they can buy land securely in their home country. The housing schemes for overseas Pakistanis will bring more investment to the country as the people will have a safe passage for investment in Pakistan.
