Due to some influential groups, the approved plan was revised and another link road plan was carved which involved linking kashmir highway from Golra Chowk to Hajj Complex, which would pass along sectors I-14, I-15, I-16, I-17 and join Thallian Interchange.

The revised plan is given below:

NHA had been publishing tenders for construction of this revised plan which is neither cost-effective, nor logical. Estimated cost of this revised plan is approximately 8 Billion Rupees whereas the previous plan would cost around 1 Billion Rupees.

According to latest updates, CDA & RDA both have rejected this revised link road plan and the matter is sent to NHA which is the relevant authority to take final decision.

Due to the nature of this issue, PM secretariat has asked for reports from relevant authorities and this matter will be raised in national assembly as to which plan should be followed.
