National Accountability Bureau has released a public notice regarding alleged fraud with general public in Bahria Town Phase 8 Extension by Bahria Town Private Limited. The investigation involves the number of plots sold in Bahria Town Phase 8 Extension and the amount collected by Bahria Town against those plots since 2010, whereas possessions of the plots have not been handed over to the general public after the lapse of 16 years.
NAB seeks record from all members of Bahria Town Phase 8 Extension who have invested in plots. That includes all members whose files were shifted later on from other blocks and phase 9 to phase 8 extension. Members must submit their claims alongwith their affidavits and all proofs of investment such as allotment/membership letters, booking forms, payment receipts and any related documents.
Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the issuance of this notice, as claims submitted after 30 days will not be accepted.
This is another serious development after the takeover of Bahria Phase 8 sectors by DHA and the auction of subject land of Phase 8 Extension by Asst. Commissioner Rawalpindi.
