Al-Haram City is a low cost partially developed housing project located on Chakri Road near Thalian Interchange. It has launched several blocks of Al-Haram City and expanded the society to a large area over the past couple of years. It is currently offering residential plots in its Harmain Block, and different sizes of villas on easy installments.
Rawalpindi Development Authority has declared this project illegal, and initiated actions to stop the advertising campaigns of this project. There are no further details available as to whether it is due to some violation of rules & regulations, or due to having no NOC from RDA.
Director Metropolitan and Traffic Engineering, Mr. Jamshed Aftab has issued an order to the subject housing scheme to stop all advertising campaigns immediately. He also advised general public not to invest in illegal housing project in Rawalpindi in order to avoid any possible loss.
