Margalla Avenue Extension Work in Progress at D-17 & D-18 Islamabad

Following the approval of Margalla Avenue extension plan to connect existing Margalla Avenue to the Motorway M-1 Interchange at AWT D-18, fast paced connstruction work on the link road has begun. The link road is being built between GT road at Sangjani Toll Plaza along Sector D-17 up to Motorway M-1 at AWT Interchange. This connectivity will not only create an alternative access point for the residents of Islamabad to connect with Motorway but also create smooth connectivity for the existing housing schemes like AWT, Wapda Town, Engineer Cooperative Housing Scheme, D-17 Margalla View Scheme and many other local settlements at Sangjani.
It is also important to mention that this Margalla Avenue is part of the Ring Road Plan that loops around the twin cities creating a by-pass to resolve traffic issues in Rawalpindi & Islamabad.
