RDA Approves Rawalpindi Ring Road Revised Route Map
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has finalized the revised alignment plan of Rawalpindi Ring Road presented by Zeeruk International Private Limited. A meeting was held on 10th of July 2020 at RDA head office, where Chairman RDA approved the revised alignment plan.
As you can see on the above map, the revised plan includes changes in alignment of previous ring road plan, as well as new alignment towards Sangjani (shown in red) where it will be connected with Margalla Avenue (shown in green). From there onward, the conceptual plan from Bhara Kahu to Rawat is marked with yellow dotted line.

As there will be different residential, commercial and industrial zones along the Ring Road, a conceptual plan for land use has also been designed.
As you can see above, the ring road is shown in purple, and extension from airport to sangjani is shown in yellow. Here you can see different proposed zones along the route of Rawalpindi Ring Road, starting from Rawat Interchange up to New Islamabad Airport Interchange.
If we look at the ongoing developments regarding master planning, we can expect some good news regarding start of physical development work in next few weeks. This is high time to invest in housing or commercial land along this route, as this area will continue to grow for next 5 years at least.
