Government Announced Inauguration Date of Rawalpindi Ring Road
The authorities announce the inauguration of the Rawalpindi Ring Road after Punjab Government approves the PC-1 of Ring Road. The project will be developed according to the Public Sector Development Program.
According to Punjab Government Officials, the total expenditure ranges around 6.7 Billion, and the government issues the orders for execution. Rawalpindi Ring Road will start from Thalian Interchange and extend to Banth with a total length of 100 Kilometers.
The land is already acquired for the project and the provisional development decision will be taken in a meeting of authorities in near future. On the other hand, the disputed land matter, dismissal, and recovery of payment are not processed as of yet.
According to government means, the initial development work of Rawalpindi Ring Road was done by NESPAK in 2017 and it is approved by PSDP. No amount was declared for this project in the present year. However, the government will allot the funds after the finalization of the decision.
Currently, the inauguration of Ring Road Rawalpindi is planned for 25 December 2021, and Prime Minister, Mr. Imran Khan, will take the owners of the inauguration. Punjab Minister Mr, Usman Buzdar through Commissioner Rawalpindi, passes the inauguration orders. A speed limit of 100 Km/h will be imposed on this road. Moreover, a 90 meter right off-way will be acquired with Ring Road.
