CDA Fails to Resolve Issues in Margalla Avenue Project

It has been more than 2 years now that a link road from sector D-12 leading to GT road was planned & approved. This road was named as margalla avenue as it provided alternate route to GT road while passing along Margalla Hills.

The length of planned road was 8.5 KM out of which 6KM road patch is under construction. 2.5 KM patch of the planned road is still not under possession of CDA. Director Urban Planning & Director Land and Restoration are still unable to propose a concrete solution to the issues facing this project.

There is an old Graveyard in the passage of planned road, however the planning wing didn’t bother to consider it before designing this project.  There is still no solution as to what can be done for this Graveyard in order to continue the construction work of Margalla Avenue.

CDA is considering few solutions to this situation, i.e. either change alignment of the road or construct an overpass.
